Terms and privacy

Terms for mastering services from Abiton Studio, run by Abiton Ventures AB (Swedish company reg. no. 559576-3797, registered office Göteborg). In plain language.

The service

Abiton Studio masters finished mixes. Stereo mastering starts from a stereo mix, stem mastering from up to eight instrument groups. Every package includes, for every track, a master in 24-bit WAV at the mix’s sample rate and one in 16-bit/44.1 kHz, an MP3 reference, an organised file structure and a master information document.

Three revisions are included. A revision is a change to the master based on the same mix. A new or substantially changed mix is a new job.

The master for CD delivery with a DDP image is an add-on at €50 excl. VAT (€62.50 incl. VAT) per disc, chosen in the checkout when the mastering is paid for. A DDP image of finished masters can be ordered separately on request, at the same price per disc. Abiton Studio does not deliver discs. Abiton Studio does not issue ISRC codes.

Prices and payment

Prices are per track and shown excluding VAT, with the price including 25 % Swedish VAT stated directly beneath. The Swedish page lists prices in Swedish kronor and the English page in euros; the price that applies is the one shown at payment in the chosen currency. Payment is made in advance by card through Stripe. A receipt with itemised VAT is emailed to you.

Delivery

Work starts when payment and files have arrived. Normal delivery time is 5 working days. Files are delivered as a download link.

Right of withdrawal and refunds

As a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act. By sending your files and asking me to start, you consent to the service starting within the withdrawal period.

If you withdraw before work has started, the full amount is refunded. Once the master has been delivered and approved, the service is complete. If, after revisions, we still do not reach a result you want to use, I refund the amount and the delivered files are not used.

Files and storage

Your files are used only for your project. Mixes, stems and masters are kept for 90 days after delivery so that revisions can be made, and are then deleted. Say so if you want them deleted earlier.

The portfolio price

The portfolio price is a price of its own for a limited number of projects, on the condition that after your public release Abiton Studio may name the artist and release in the portfolio, use an excerpt of up to 30 seconds of the mix and the master as an example on abitonstudio.se, describe the project briefly and, if you agree, publish a testimonial from you. Nothing is published before your public release. You keep all rights to the music.

For every other project nothing is published without a separate agreement.

Personal data

The data controller is Abiton Ventures AB. When you send the booking or contact form, your name, email address and what you write in the form are processed to reply to you and carry out your booking (contract and pre-contractual steps). If you book, you also get a confirmation at the email address you gave. If you say how you found Abiton Studio, the answer is used only to see which ways here work (legitimate interest). The details are sent as an email through MailPace and kept in the studio’s email and bookkeeping for as long as the Swedish Bookkeeping Act requires.

Payment is handled by Stripe; Abiton Studio never sees your card details. The site uses no cookies. Visitor statistics are collected anonymously with Plausible.

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data: email studio [at] abitonstudio.se. Complaints can be made to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Applicable law

Swedish law applies. Disputes are settled by the general courts of Sweden. As a consumer you may also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).
